Maybe a better question is..."If no one cares for you at all, is it really worth existing?"
This is one of those things.. I love the quote for the reason alone that it makes you think. We are human, we want interaction, we need people in our lives. To die and never have touched another being's life would probably kill myself.. Erm.. Well, you know what I mean. But a friend of mine tried to kill herself because she thought no one cared. Sometimes it's hard to see that other people care. Sometimes it's hard to imagine that people might come to care about you even if, right then, you really have no one at all. The life of a person can't be measured by how many people care at that moment. But then, I'm probably way too young to say anything about it at all.
Oh my gosh, I loved that book like crazy and I loved that quote too! But as much as I love this book, I honestly don't know how to answer it. It feels like either way -- yes or no -- I'll be crushing someone's dreams somehow haha. x) But I think of it the same way about blogging, I guess! You'd still be a blogger if you had no followers and a bunch of posts or a lot of followers and no blogger connections, but it's actually interacting with my followers and going to other blogs that makes blogging BLOGGING for me, you know? That's probably only my opinion and a lot of people would speak differently, but that's the point: Existing means different things to different people, just like blogging does! :) Here's to us being hardcore Cassie Clare fans who are not-so-patiently waiting for her to release her next hit! High five, Nea! Thanks a million for sharing this ;) <3
I haven't read the book yet. I really really need to. But aside from that, I like the quote a lot. Makes you think about things. Reminds me of a cute picture my grandmother had growing up that said "You're no bunny until some bunny loves you." =)
That's one of my favourite quotes from Cassandra Clare's books and it really does make you think! I'm not sure if it's a question I will ever be able to answer.
Whoa! That really gets you thinking, doesn't it? *runs away* I can't answer that question :( It's a bran disarticulator.
Share some love and leave a comment! Let me know what do you think about it :) It means more than you know ;) And I always try to comment back ;)
