Blogspiration #13

Blogspiration is a Brand Spankin' New weekly meme hosted by both GrowingUp YA and Saz101. The meme was created to help spark inspiration among bloggers, readers and writters alike. An inspirational quote/picture/video is posted weekly, on the day of the author's choosing, so that it may inspire creativity, conversation and just a little SOMETHING.

Okay, so for this week's post I decided to post about life.

I've learn something at my University and while being a student. While it's very good to study hard and have great grades, this isn't everything. I had an interesting conversation with my friend yesterday and we talked about life.

I have avarge grades. They are good. Like 8,4 out of 10. But my classmates have better grades than me. Which is ok. But what I really want to say is.. Did I skip any party in these past 4 years? Have a declined any coffee with a friend? Did I skip any trip or opportunity to travel? The answer? No, I haven't.

While I love learning about psychology, I also love making experiences in life. I love spending time with my friends, I love to party, I love to travel and most of all, I love to live. And I want to be happy.

So, even if I don't have the best grades in my class, I feel like a winner anyway. And I am proud to be. Because from my experiences I have learnt so many things, my University would have never been able to teach me. And I am grateful.

What's your blogspiration this week? :)

Ah, I tried to post but I don't think it worked. :-( Anyway, I just wanted to say that I completely agree with Joie - I love your attitude towards life, and you know what? It's those experiences that you're MAKING time for that are going to be the ones that REALLY shape and define you as a person, and the ones you'll look back on years from now.
I study psychology too (in my fourth year now). Here in Australia, it's all theory, no practical stuff. What is it like for you?

NOOO.
I posted a really long comment.
and the internet died.
and I can't remember what I said.
GAH.

Basically, though, I love this <3 and I totally agree. Uni is about being a part of two great worlds, you know? It's more than just studying, it's a way of life. And actually, in our house, we have a saying that we're in a sort of student bubble. It's all different out there.

But yeah, I love uni because I love learning but I also love being social and having friends all over the place. I'm really shy so knowing that I have a handful of friends is just really great xD

I think it can be super hard to keep yourself from putting your life on hold while in school. I could never afford anything while I was in school, so I'd always tell myself that I'd do all those fun/cool/expensive things once I finished school. Four years later, I feel like I spent too much time dealing with school than anything else. All I can say is I'm glad it ended, and I'm living my life now. And I'm happy!

So, I'm glad you're happy and finding a good balance between life and school.

Thanks for visiting my haul.

Someone can spend all their life studying and in school but in the end will all that matter? Street smart is more important, not book smart. Application of what you learned is what's more important and how can you do that if all your doing is staying school? but also, in the end who cares if you have a PhD when you're unhappy? like you said, nothing is more important than being satisfied with your life and if your a janitor and your satisfied, SO BE IT. Life is not about school and getting the best job and the best paycheck, it's about living and enjoying yourself!! Seriously, I LOVE you for posting this quote! Keep on living, doll♥

Aww such a great post! Grades aren't everything at all. To be honest, employers don't give a crap about them. LIVE LIFE! :D

This is so totally true Nea! I am someone who hates to fail but when you look at it with this type of perspective - who's to say what is failure?

AaahhhhH!!!! Such AMAZING/INCREDIBLE inspiration!!! Because I couldn't agree more!! Life is about LIVING and BEING HAPPY!! Not to say that you shouldn't be mindful of school work or even work in general, but what's the point of life if it isn't actually LIVED??!!

What's the point of having excellent grades, if you didn't make friends in the process. If you didn't get to know your peers?

What's the point of making TONS of money, if you can't go out and SPEND IT or ENJOY IT! Not to say that it should be wasted carelessly, but as long as it's spent doing something you love, I say FUCK IT! Just DO IT!!

LOOOOVVVEEEEE would be an understatement right about now!! :D

Also, I can't even tell you how much I love that quote. I ADORE the Beatles (I'm talking an entire year as a 10 year old when I listened to NOTHING but The Beatles), and is John Lennon not, like, the musical Dalai Lama or what? LOVE ♥
