Madison Daniels has worshipped her brother's best friend since they were kids. Everyone thinks she and Chase Gamble would make the perfect couple, but there are two major flaws in their logic. 1) Chase has sworn off relationships of any kind, and 2) after blurring the line between friends and lovers for one night four years ago, they can't stop bickering.

Forced together for her brother's wedding getaway, Chase and Madison decide to call a truce for the happy couple. Except all bets are off when they're forced to shack up in a tacky 70’s honeymoon suite and survive a multitude of "accidents" as the family tries to prove their "spark" can be used than for more than fighting. That is, if they don't strangle each other first…
- Goodreads.com description

Tempting the Best Man is a story about Meddie, who has a crush on her older brother's best friend since, well, forever. Her brother is getting married and she knows she there will be no escape and she will need to face him on the wedding. When she on the way for the place where the wedding will take place, she blows her tire. Damn it. She calls her father to tell him. Her father because of the noise can't hear her at all. And here comes the hilarious moment ever:

“Wait. I can’t hear you. Guys, can you keep it down?” His voice got a little farther away from the mouthpiece. “Maddie’s on the phone and she blew something.” The room erupted in male laughter.
Oh. My. Freaking. God.

Chase comes to pick her up. And here the funny coincidences start. They go to pick the cabin keys, there is a problem with the rooms, as in, there is only one available. They are stuck together. They go to check the wine cellar with her family and friends and the two of them got locked in it together.

Chase. Chase is so sweet and sexy, and no matter how he sounds in Maddie's thoughts, he does care about her a lot. He just has troubles expressing that. And also he thinks he will betray his friend trust, if he wanted to be with his little sister.

One thing that bothered me was.. well, she said something and he understood in the total opposite way, and vice versa. All the time. It was kind of frustrating. It was insane. But then I asked myself, why I felt that way toward it? I mean, does it in real life things like this really happen? The answer shocked the hell out of me. Holy shit. How many times in life, especially in interpesonal relationships, happen to understand what you've actually wanted to hear and not was was actually said? That you've thought it meant something but in fact it meant something completely different? For me? Um, pretty much all the time.

The story is full of unexpected turn arounds and passion. Their interpersonal dynamic is pretty incredible. And I loved it because we could see into both their heads, because it was written from both points of view. J. Lynn aka Jennifer L. Armentrout demontrated with this book that she can write adult books as well. And I love it!

So if you're looking for a funny read full of passion and great romance, this is the book for you!
