Fate isn’t something to mess with… and now, neither is Alex.

Alex has always feared two things: losing herself in the Awakening and being placed on the Elixir. But love has always been stronger than Fate, and Aiden St. Delphi is willing to make war on the gods—and Alex herself—to bring her back.

The gods have killed thousands and could destroy entire cities in their quest to stop Seth from taking Alex’s power and becoming the all-powerful God Killer. But breaking Alex’s connection to Seth isn’t the only problem. There are a few pesky little loopholes in the whole “an Apollyon can’t be killed” theory, and the only person who might know how to stop the destruction has been dead for centuries.

Finding their way past the barriers that guard the Underworld, searching for one soul among countless millions, and then somehow returning will be hard enough. Alex might be able to keep Seth from becoming the God Killer… or she might become the God Killer herself.

Holy fuck. Phenomenal. That was the only thing I could say when I finished the book. Because seriously, it was freaking incredible! I loved it. I fucking loved every part of it. It reminded me why I love this serie so so much.

Alex. In this fourth instalment we see a different Alex that we have seen in Deity. Deity was kind of a disappointment for me, but hell, Apollyon jumped high above that and it was awesome. Alex is way more the girl we were used too before Deity, before she got so scared and confused. In Apollyon she is badass, fierce, strong, incredible and her thinking and sarcasm rocked my socks! I love this girl so much.

Aiden. Holy fuck, this boy is getting better and better. And I must say, in this instalment he showed us a side of him I didn't really expect. He is strong and badass and all, but he is also showing how much he loves Alex and speak up for himself. And his sarcasm and funny retorts got me cracking up so much :D I love you Aiden <3

The action was very good. I've missed it in Deity, but I definitely got what I was asking for in Apollyon. It rocked. The romance was sweet and fierce and everything I could have asked for and more. And the emotions, oh my god, the emotions that this book brought out of me! I was literally at the edge of my couch with my heart pounding while reading Apollyon. And I have no fears about action in Sentinel - there will be plenty and it will be totally awesome!

So, if you haven't started this serie yet, I highly suggest you to do it soon ;) It's incredible and awesome and Alex will rock your world. Or probably Aiden will :P
